Of course, some users will not welcome this change not all of the userbase has the same taste but to say they look childish I don’t think so, as these icons are now more unified to be in the same icon pack unlike the previous ones and to say that they harm the professionalism of the mac os, I don’t say so because it’s not the icons that decide if a whole OS is professional or not it’s the degree of practicality that decide, and I would say that the users will get used to this icons in no time, So no big deal there.Ī. I think it is because the 3D illustration is on the rise right now.Ī. I think the Big Sur icon can be more softer with a different color so that it can maintain the professional look of apple’s icon.Ī. I think this can affect greatly to the experience of the user about the feel of the design and don’t think of Apple as a simple and soft design like before. So, now with the Big Sur design, I don’t get that feeling anymore. In my opinion, apple icons always give me a professional look and simple design. Experience wise, I feel it will also create a lighter effect on its users making the macOS seem like one that’s not just for professionals anymore and that it can be used by anyone. The design still remains one that will create many “wow” reactions. I feel like it would make the icons a little more fun and playful in an attempt to create a more friendly experience for the user.
